The Serum Or Plasma Level Assaying Of The Five Skeletal Growth Factors For The Healthy Adults From Chongqing Urban Field

Objective: To assay the serum or plasma levels of bFGF(Basic fibroblast growth factor,IGF-1(Insulin-like growth factor-1),PDGF( Platelet-derived growth factor ),TGF-β1 ( Transforming growth factor-β1),TNF-α(Tumor necrosis factor-α)from the healthy adults of different age and sexes in Chongqing urban field,and to evaluate that whether significant differences in concentrations exist among these groups and between the values in this study and those reported home and abroad in literature .Methods: Ninty healthy people in Chongqing urban region were selected and divided into the young group(18-45y),the middle-aged group (46-60y) and the old group(>60y),30 people and samilar sex ratio in each group. Blood from the 90 people were collected and bFGF,P DGF,IGF-1,TNF-αof serum and TGF-β1 of plasma concentration were measured by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, statistical analysis was performed to determine whether there were differences in values among groups between different age,sex groups and those reported in the literature home and abroad.Results: (1) bFGF:the concentration of the bFGF from the old-aged group is significantly lower than the youth group and the middle-aged group, both for the male and female; (2) IGF-1:the concentration of the of the IGF-1 from old-aged group is significantly lower than the youth group and middle-aged group, so does the female old-aged group; (3) TGF-β1:the concentration of the TGF-β1 from the youth group is significantly lower than the middle-aged and old-aged groups, the concentration from the male youth group is significantly lower than the male old-aged group, the concentration from the female middle-aged is significantly lower than the female old-aged group; (4) TNF-α:the concentration of the TNF-αfrom the old-aged group is significantly lower than the youth group and the middle-aged group, the concentration from the female old-aged is significantly lower than the female youth group; the comparison between other certain two groups of different age and sex shows no significant difference.Conclusions: The serum or plasma levels of the bFGF,IGF-1,PDGF,TNF-α,TGF-β1 shows statistical significance between certain two groups native or overseas in different age and sex, which yields the results same,similar,or opposite.
