PQ is a kind of effective herbicide and used widely in the whole world.However the toxic effect of PQis not studied deeply.This paper studied the dominant lethal mutation experiment,the test on toxicity ofmale genital system,constrictive effects of paraquat on ductus arteriosus of rat fetus and concentrationremove of PQ in the organ of Rats.The result of rat fetus and concentration remove of PQ in the body ofRats.The results showed that:1. Dominant lethal mutation experiment:Fertility index,the number of implantation and the number ofearly stillboms in all experimental groups 1,2,3 is not significant compared with negative control group(P>0.05),also there is no significant difference between every experimental groups (P>0.05),so thereis no dose-reaction relationship ,which indicated that PQ can not induce germinal mutation at the dose of1/10LD50, 1/5LD50 and 1/2LD50.2. The test on toxicity of male genital system:Rat's teratospermia experiment:Sum of ranks statistic result showed that all experimental groups is notsignificant compared with control group,also there is no significant difference between every experimentalgroups (P>0.05),which indicated that PQ at the dose of 1/40LD50, 1/20LD50 and 1/10LD50 can not inducegential toxicity on rats.Rat's spermatic activity ratio:There is no significant difference between control group andexperimental groups (P<0.01);and we can get the same conclusion among three experimental groups (P<0.01).It indicated that PQ at the dose of 1/40LD50, 1/20LD50 and 1/10LD50 can not enhance spermaticactivity ratio.The determination of AKP(or ALP):The activity of AKP(or ALP) at the dose of 1/20LD50 and1/10LD50,is increased significantly with control group (P<0.01),also there is significant differencebetween every experimental groups (P<0.01).It increased with the increasing dose,indicated that there isdirect correlation between the dose and acticity.Result:PQ at the dose of 1/20LD50 and 1/10LD50 can affectthe activity of AKP by digestive tract.3. Research in toxic effects of PQ on DA and relationship on dose-reaction:PQ can induce contractionof DA of rat fetus,showed that PQ has embryonic toxicity;with the dose increased,the inner diameter of DAdecreased,indicated that there is dose-reaction relationship between the dose and inner diameter of DA.4. Research on contraction time-reaction induced by PQ:The inner diameter of DA decreasedsignificantly after 3h and 6h by subcutaneous injection at the dose of 25mg/kg to rats on 21 gestation (P<0.05),and the inner diameter is decreased significantly compared with the 6h ones (P<0.05).However it had no changes after 1h and 24h by injection (P>0.05).Conclusion:The relationship of time-reaction isexist on the fetus after the pregnant was subcutaneous injected by PQ at the dose of 25mg/kg.5. The active changes of PQ concentration in the body of pregnant rat and fetus: Analyzed by HPLC,itindicated that the PQ can accumulate on the 21d pregnant rat and its fetus' lungs when PQ was given afterlh at the dose of 25mg/kg.And the target organ which is PQ affect on is lung,no matter to the mothernuclide and fetus.
