Evaluation System Of Chinese Medicine Treatment Of Genital Herpes

Object:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of prescriptions which could clear away Heat-toxin,eliminate Dampness,tonify Qi and strengthen the body resistance for genital herpes,providing the reference for the clinical medication.Methods:Developing search strategies,All the randomized controlled trails through computer and manual retrieval of the prescriptions for genital herpes were searched for sestematic review.All the articles were evaluated based on Jadad-scale and analysised with Ravmen 4.2.10 software provided by the Cochrane Collaboration.Results:Altogether 12 studies involving 1036 patients were included. Because of different drugs used in the control groups,and the combined effect of the efficacy study was obtained by a subgroup analysis.The research demonstrated that the treatment group showed the similar to the control groups in the short-term curative effect and the time of the symptom alleviation(eg:the blister time,The scab time,the Lesions recovering time,the symptom vanishing time,the healing time),but the prescriptions was superior to western medicine in ruducing the recurrence rate.7 studies mentioned the adverse effects,and showed the prescriptions had fewer adverse reactions than western medicine.Conclusion:1.This study evaluated the literatures by the methods of evidence-based medicine,the result showed prescriptions of the traditional Chinese medicine was similar to western medicine in recent effect,but superior to western medicine in the forward curative effect such as ruduction of the recurrence rate.2.Owe to influences of many factors such as the low methodology quality and the latent publication displacement,this systematic review could not draw an affirmative conclusion to the clinical validity and the security of the traditional Chinese medicine treatment for genital herpes and still needed the big sample,the multi-centers,the radomized double-blind check experiment to confirm.
