Objective: To study the curing action of the Xuduan Guhe injection(XG) during the period of fracture healing . At the same time evaluated the method of compound preparation and local treatment.Method: There are 36 Rabbits were divided randomly into experiment group, control group and natural group . These rabbit were used to produce models with 3mm defect in the middle of radius after the general anaesthesia by the NH2COOC2H5 liquor of 20%. They were given treated by the penicillin G. Then 3 groups were injected respectively XG injection(0.46ml, once every 2days) ,GuTai injection and normal saline(0.23ml, once every day) into the breaking end of fracture . Further more, the three mark with Tetracysline Hydrochloride were given in the fined time and samples were taken after 2weeks ,3weeks and 4weeks to explore the quantity of Ca2+ sediment and observe blood vessel rebuilding .Result:The 21th day after fracture , Ca2+ sediment of the experiment groups is much increased and gradually descended. That Ca2+ sediment quantity of the experiment groups were compared with natural group had meaning of the statistics(p<0.05).The experiment groups had a higher capillary density and higher capillary/muscle fiber ratios than that of the natural groups at the 14 th , 21th and 28th day after the fracture (p<0.05).The 21th and 28th day after fracture, compensatory circulation is formed and added better than the natural groups in bony callus.Conclusion:The XG injection can significantly add Ca2+ sediment to aggrade into the bone matrix at the fracture healing' s metaphase and anaphase. At the same time,the periosteum and adjacent muscles can send out a mass of blood vessel into the interstitial lamellae. And these blood vessel is circuitous ,outstretched and anastomosed one another. These prove the XG injection play an accelerate function in fracture healing and repairing.
