Objective By the investigation, to study the knowledge, attitude and behavior aboutTB among internal immigrant workers in Tianjin, to search for influence factors onthem and relations among them. Provide evidence on constituting and implementingabout TB education.Methods Internal immigrants were investigated in Tianjin by simple randomsampling. All interviewees should answer the questionnaires face-to-face. Collecteddata on demography characters, the knowledge, attitude and behavior about TB frominternal immigrants and analyzed the data.Results 469 internal immigrants finished the questionnaires in 474 cases and 460questionnaires were valid, the response rates separately were 98.1%and 98.9%. In460 interviewees male 330 and female 130, the sexual ratio is 2.54:1. Their ages werefrom 16 to 52, the average was 29.47 years old. 70.0%Interviewees came mainlyfrom country and the others from town and 56.5%interviewees had married. Theywere in low education, high school or above 32.4%, middle school 55.6%andprimary school or below 12.0%.Among the interviewees, the pass rate of score about TB knowledge was 43.7%and the average score was 4.70. They knew some but not all about TB, evenmisapprehend. The scores were different among groups of demography characters,especially the age, education and source of town or country (p<0.05). Education waskey factor on score of TB knowledge. The ratio of high school or above to elementaryschool or below was 5.4. The attitude and behavior about TB were separately positivecorrelation with score of TB knowledge (p<0.05), and the result was different between the attitude and the behavior.A majority of interviewees wanted to know more about TB, they were mostlyinterested in prevention, earlier finding and mainly symptoms on TB. They wishedobtain the knowledge by the ways they wished, especially by doctors andcommunities.Conclusions Knowledge about TB among internal immigrants in Tianjin should beimproved. Although they wanted to know more about TB, they could not now.So we should offer them health-education about TB by different ways and contents.People with low education should be followed with interest.
