Objective:Through analyzing the questionnaire of the knowledge,attitude and behavior about contraception after the treatment of ectopic pregnancy among the gynecology and obstetrics medical staff in Tianjin area, to understand the knowledge, related concept and services about contraception after the treatment of ectopic pregnancy of the gynecology and obstetrics medical staff, so as to provide a scientific and theoretical basis for hospital to develop the service of contraception of ectopic pregnancy, and reduce the occurrence of recurrent ectopic pregnancy.Methods:423 gynecology and obstetrics medical staff of five different levels of the hospital in Tianjin had been enrolled in this study from October 2013 to November2014. The survey included general information and related knowledge,attitude and practice of contraception about ectopic pregnancy. The data were logged and analyzed with SPSS for Windows Version17.0. Single-factor analysis adopted descriptive method to calculate the rate, constituent ratio, mean and standard deviation,and the comparison of count data using single factor analysis of variance.Statistical significance was set at P<0.05,and the test level was a=0.05.Results:1、The knowledge of contraception of ectopic pregnancy among gynecology and obstetrics medical staff : The total correct rate of the gynecology and obstetric medical staff was 52.2%. The lowest score is 32 points,the highest was 85 points,and the average score was 54.76±9.50. Only 29.3% of these staff scored more than 60 points. The scores had nothing to do with the age, the sex, the vocation, the professional title or the working years, but they had a connection with the hospital level and the working section.2 、 The attitude of gynecology and obstetrics medical staff towards to ectopic pregnancy contraception : There were 98.9% of the gynecology and obstetric medical staff thought it necessary or very necessary to carry out ectopic pregnancycontraception propaganda and guidance among ectopic pregnancy patients. Also,99.3% of them agreed that it necessary or very necessary to have the training for the gynecology and obstetric medical staff about how to choose a appropriate contraceptive method for the ectopic pregnancy patients.3 、 The situation of the contraception propaganda service delivery of he gynecology and obstetric medical staff : There were 48.4% 、 54.6% and 59.6% of the gynecology and obstetric medical personnel carried out contraception propaganda to the patients with ectopic pregnancy during their hospital stay, before discharge or posttreatment visit, but the propaganda form was mainly informing the patients to pay attention to contraception, fewer discussion about specific contraceptive methods with the patients were proceeded, and less contraceptive measures were implemented. Only 2.9% 、 0.7% and 1.8% of them provided contraceptives or implemented the IUD placement during the patients, hospital stay,before discharge or posttreatment visit.4、 In the clinical work,the common reason why the gynecology and obstetric medical personnel did not carry out the effective contraception timely after the ectopic pregnancy patients had been treated included that the service objects had some concerns,they were not interested,or they had no demand of contraceptives.Most of the gynecology and obstetric medical personnel thought that the most effective manners to carry forward contraception propaganda among ectopic pregnancy patients were the personalized guidance of the medical staff in the treatment process and the posttreatment visit, community family planning services and the propaganda in hospital. At the present, the gynecology and obstetric medical workers usually took clinical practice and textbooks for the reference as the technical routine about choosing and implementing contraceptive methods. In the meantime, they hoped to have ectopic pregnancy related training by means of taking part in special training courses, lectures on special topics organized by academic conference,and the continuing education program.Conclusions:1 、 The knowledge of contraception of ectopic pregnancy among gynecology and obstetrics medical staff were seriously lack.2 、 The attitude of gynecology and obstetrics medical staff towards to ectopic pregnancy contraception was quite positive.3 、 The contraception propaganda of he gynecology and obstetric medical staff were insufficient.4 、 The ectopic pregnancy contraception service did not performed very well,and the service objects had some concerns,they were not interested,or they had no demand of contraceptives were account for it.
