Study On Quality Of Life In Type 2 Diabetes Patients

Object Survey the type 2 diabetes patients and controls by questionnaire and applying SF-36 instrument to assess quality of life;then discussing the risk factors to life quality,which is the base of making intervention measures for type 2 diabetes.Methods 162 cases of the type 2 diabetes and 140 controls were investigated with the short form 36(SF-36)measuring scale in Heping an Heji hospital in Changzhi.The data were constituted under Excel.The major statistical analysis described by SPSS as follow:the general characteristic,the quality of life and its effective factors.Results 1.The instrument SF-36 showed the quality of life,including physical,psychological, social,environmental and independent domains of diabetes,had obvious difference between case group and control group(P＜0.001).2.The results of SF-36 instrument showed that:①Age (standardized coefficients b′,b′=-0.191)and high blood-fat(b′=-0.132)were negatively correlated with physical functioning.②Four factors may play an important role in role-physical from high to low,including:education degree(b′=0.248),obesity(b′=-0.242),high blood-fat (b′=-0.219)and alcohol intake(b′=0.144).③Complication(b′=-0.241)and age(b′= -0.182)may play an important role in bodily pain.④The influencing factors of general health were alcohol intake(b′=0.207),rational diet(b′=0.190),high blood-fat(b′=-0.175),drug treatment(b′=-0.139).⑤The influencing factors of vitality from high to low included education degree(b′=0.214),high blood-fat(b′=-0.178)and rational diet(b′=0.131).⑥Sex(b′=0.176)and rational diet(b′=0.136)were positively correlated with social functioning,high blood-fat(b′=-0.220)was negatively correlated with social functioning.⑦Three factors may play an important role in role-emotional from high to low,including:high blood-fat(b′=-0.245),education degree(b′=0.209),obesity(b′=-0.188).⑧Medical care assurance(b′=-0.178)was negatively correlated with mental heath and rational diet(b′=0.135)was positively correlated with mental health.3.The result of correlation analysis demonstrated that age,sex,education degree,obesity,rational diet and complication were main infective factors.Conclusion Applying instruments of life quality to assess the diabetes patients,we can know about the physical,emotional and social functions.It can factually reflect the effect of the disease and treatment.When comprehensive rehabilitation approach is applied,psychological support and psychiatric aberration must be stressed in order to make the patients look on the disease correctly,amend bad mood,cooperate with the doctors actively.The knowledge of the disease and the consciousness of self-health care must be improved to fetch favorable psychological diathesis,postpone the complication and enhance the patients' quality of life.
