Patientsin study group were treated with cognitive therapy, progressive muscle relaxation trainingand guided imagery. Results There are serious psychologic problems in lung cancer patients receivingchemotherapy. And they are more serious before chemotherapy than after that. Anassociation of obvious negative correlation is observed between the scores of mental stateand the coping style of confronce(r=-0.409, P<0.01). There are obvious positivecorrelations between the scores of mental state and the coping style of avoidance,resignation(r=0.399, P<0.01; r=0.426, P<0.01). The fatigue degreelinked with chemotherapy had obviously positive correlation with the scores of mentalstate(r=0.494, P<0.01). The degree of nausea and vomitting linked with chemotherapypositively correlated with the scores of mental state(r=0.310, P<0.05). The coping modes, the utilization of social supports, mental states, the degree of fatigue, the degree of neaseaand vomitting of patients in study group are better than those of patients in control groupafter 2 months' psychological intervention. Conclusion There are obvious mental problems in lung cancer patients receivingchemotherapy.
