As a result, the meridian injured. Then the activity of qi is blocked and the pain appears. The acupuncture manipulations alter according to the time. Illuminating by "The Emperor' s Classic", we set down a method which take advantage of the nature to help the patients to recover.Objective: Study the therapeutic effects of the treatment that giving different acupuncture treatment according to the time(the lunar calendar), and investigate the mechanism of action.Method: We choose 60 cases who fit the diagnostic criteria of Periarthritis of shoulder. We divide them into the observation group and the control group of 30 cases each by randomization principle.Observation group: We give the patients different acupuncture treatment according to the time(the lunar calendar). At the beginning of the month, we choose the points as follow: fuliu, ququan, qihai, quchi, taiyuan, yanglingquan and zusanli, and not decanting pathogenic factors and reinforcing healthy qi. ln the middle of the month, we choose the points as follow: quchi, taiyuan, yanglingquan and zusanli, and decanting pathogenic factors. At the end of the month, we do not do any treatment. Control group: we choose the points as follow:jianyu, jianzhen, jianliao, quchi and waiguan, and not decanting pathogenic factors and reinforcing healthy qi. After acupuncture, we do cupping for the patients. The two groups both do treatments once every two days.Result:The observation group:curing 24, excellence 6, total effective rate 100%;The control group: curing 20, excellence 5, utility 3, ineffective 2, total effective rate 100%. The two groups have a significant difference in the aspects of Pain state, abduction, post extend, outward rotation, turning over the collar, putting on upper outer garment, and so on(P＜0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture-therapy is one of the most general way of treating Periarthritis of shoulder. The treatment that giving different acupuncture treatment according to the time(the lunar calendar) can relieve the pain, improve the movement of the shoulder in the aspects of abduction, post extend, outward rotation, turning over the collar, putting on upper outer garment, and so on. Patients could easily accept it because patients suffer and pay little. The mechanism of action is: "man, as amicrocosm, is connected with the macrocosm". Qi and blood of the human being grow up and decline with the macrocosm. It is important to invigorate the kidney. The modern medicine confirm that acupuncture can regulate the blood supply, improve the blood circulation and lighten the inflammation. It can also activate the endogenous morphine-like substance to exert the analgesic effect.
