ObjectiveThis study aimed to develop a humanized nursing care protocol and to examine its effects with respect of anxiety, pain, medical complications and the duration of hospitalization on AMI patients in the acute period. MethodsOn the basis of the outcome of an investigation among AMI patients in the acute period, a humanized nursing care protocol was generated and then implemented. The effects of this protocol were evaluated through the assessment of patients' anxiety, pain and the days of hospitalization.
