Study And Countermeasure On Current Situation Of The Hospital Continuing Medical Education

Objective: At present the health group's overall quality and level cannot adapt to the requirements of the modernization society and the people's health in our country. Along with our country medical education and medical service market further opening to the outside world after entering WTO, society sets the new higher request to the medical personnel's qualities. The continuing medical education is the important constituent of medical education , is also the main way and important method of health human resources development.In medical service market intense competition day by day, how correctly locates the role of continuing medical education in the hospital development, which relates to general development of the hospital in 21st century.Therefore, we shoud study the current situation of the hospital continuing medical education to find the problem so that we reform and consummate the teaching and supervisory work of the continuing medical education, to make it standardized,scientific and schemed,to promote contiuning medical education and hospital to sustainable development.Methods: 1st, to collect and analyse the data of a provincial hospital continuing medical educational work in Shenyang from 2002 to 2006, including the situation of the report and implementation of continuing medical education project, the participation of academic conference, published the paper, the development of scientific research as well as the hospital's social efficiency and so on. 2nd , surveying the partial medical personnel by the questionnaire, the content including the basic situations,attitude to continuing medical education,effect and requires and so on.3rd,consulting documents.4th,Useing the Excel input data, carring on the descriptive analysis to the entire material, analysising the data with the software of SPSS 13.0.Results: 1st, it has enhanced medical personnel's vocational level and scientific research ability greatly, simultaneously also led the development of technical office, promoted the hospital to providing the more perfect medical service for the society, also promoted the hospital's social efficiency to growing year by year.2nd, the different titles and specialities of medical personnel's attitude to continuing medical education is not different, the different titles, degrees and specialities of medical personnel's effect to study is different. Various titles,degrees and specialities of medical personnel'situation of reading the periodical, surfing and publishing the paper is different.3rd, increasing knowledge and developing skill is the most main purpose of participating continuing medical education; not enough time is the most primary factor to influence the participating;The majority of people have been engaged to the scientific research, but the lack of relative knowledge has affected scientific research.4th, the participation of the hospital continuing medical education and reading the academic periodical is still the main way to gain the specialized academic information and the school grades.Conclusions:From the study and analysis of current situation of the hospital continuing medical education,we should do the following works: 1st,enhancing and expanding propaganda to set up lifelong education's idea.2nd, positively reporting and conducting the continuing medical education project.3rd,making continuing medical education's content richness to enhance "three characteristics" of continuing medical education's training.4th,enhancing information education to improve the abilities of scientific research.5th,using modern information technology to promote the development of continuing medical education.6th, strengthening the nurse's continuing medical education.7th, appling the information administration system of continuing medical education to establishing the personal files.
