Study On Abstraction And Standardization Of Data Elements In National Health Resource Statistical Investigation

National health statistical data can promote communications of health information and its application at global, national or regional level. The resources of national statistical information vary widely and the data are huge, complicated and overlapping in content. The conventional way to acquire the statistical information is from statistical report forms, which is aggregated other than case-based and thus subjective to some extent. Furthermore, it is not real-time data and can't be updated immediately with the ongoing of health events, resulting in worse accuracy and prompt. Meanwhile, being short of unified information standard and database platform, resource sharing is very difficult and thus duplication of data collection and resource waste is inevitably. So, it is urgent to develop data standard of national health statistical information (data element standard).
