Manipulative Reduction And Operation For The Treatment Of The Trimalleolar Fracture Of Postrotatory Extorsion

OBJECTIVE: To observe and revaluation the respective recent curative effect to supinate and extorsion Trimalleolar fractures of manipulative reduction and operation. To identify the clinical position of manipulative reduction to supinate and extorsion Trimalleolar fractures.METHODS: The part of literature study systematically expatiate the relative anatomy of ankle-joint, incidence, risk, pathogenesis, diagnose and grouping of extorsion Trimalleolar fractures. This part also systematically retrospects several treatment measures at home or abroad. In the part of clinical study, from 2004 to 2006, 30 patients of extorsion Trimalleolar fractures were divided into 2 groups. Treatment group include 10 patients were treated by way of manipulative reduction, while control group include the other 20 patients were treated by operation.RESULTS: By earlier period clinical study, we confirm that bone setting manipulation all get the inferior effect to operation after 0 week, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks of curing. According to ankle-joint score system, operation have more conclusive curative effect to manipulative reduction.CONCLUSION: Operation is the major cure method to supinate and extorsion Trimalleolar fractures in clinic. However manipulative reduction have mang good qualities as convenient handling, little injure, little painful, little charge, avoiding twice operation and so on. It is still one of the Ideal methods to supinate and extorsion Trimalleolar fractures in clinic.
