Breast carcinoma is a malignant disease which seriously influences female health. The incidence of breast carcinoma accounts for the first position of female malignant tumors. Though the history of the treatment research of breast carcinoma has been more than 100 years, especially in recent twenty years, the diagnosis and treatment technology of breast carcinoma have made great progress, but about 400 thousand female die of the disease all over the world every year. At present, the research of the carcinogenesis and malignant progression of breast carcinoma is still a hotspot of the research. Therefore, exploring the alterations of key genes related to development and progression of breast carcinoma tissues will be considered useful.ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to study the expression of KiSS-1 mRNA, metastin and MMP-9 protein in benign breast disease, normal breast tissues and breast carcinoma tissues to probe the clinical significance of them in different kind of breast tissues and the correlation of metastin and MMP-9.Materials and MethodsMaterials : We collected 16 cases of benign breast disease and 56 cases of breast carcinoma tissues from zhujiang hospital in the year from 2004.1 to 2005.12.We took breast carcinoma tissues and adjacent normal breast tissues within 5 minutes after the breast carcinoma tissues was cut off from patiens.
