Study On The Evaluation Of Regional Health Comprehensive Competition Strength

With the forming and developing of socialism market economy and the deepening of sanitation reform, the health service units finished their shift from pure welfare government organization to market-orientated, the market economy rule plays an even important role in health service. The expanding health service market and the changing supply-need relationship is a challenge to the existence and development of health units. According to the competition theory of professor Michael.E.Porter, the regional health units is facing 5 competition strength: Existing health units, new entering health units, health substitute units (assigned drugstores), need side (health customers), and health service supplier (medical insurance companies).Competitiveness exists in competition. Competitiveness theory is one of the achievements of the blending of economics theory and management theory. The applying of competitiveness theory in health service area was extensively cared, researches in hospital comprehensive competitiveness, hospital core competitiveness and other areas had being conducted. Increasing self-competitiveness and occupying the regional health service market is an important subject for a health unit.Putting forward the new concept of regional health comprehensive competitiveness and conducting the systematic study is aim to further satisfying the health service needs of costumer and society.
