Objective: To access the therapeutic effects on fire needle for cervical spondyloticradiculopathy and to study the mechanism of fire needle treating pain syndrome and Bi syndrome.Methods: The cases of cervical spondyloticradiculopathy were randomly divided into a fire needle group and a general acupuncture group. They were treated every three day;one period of treatment last 30 days. There therapeutic effects and pain degree (short McGill pain questionnaire) and changes of 5-HT, 5-HIAA, NA contents before and after treatment were observed.Results: (1)The difference of therapeutic effects between two groups weren' t significant. The healed rate (33.3%) and the significantly effective rate (46.7%) of fire needle group were higher the general acupuncture group. (2)The difference of improving degrees of symptoms and signs between two groups was significant. (3)As to evaluation of pain degree, the difference in two groups of positive words items, PRI sensation degrees, total PRI degrees and PPI were significant. The difference in two groups of PRI emotion degrees and VAS weren' t significant. (4)The contents of 5-HT, 5-HIAA, NA in two groups after treatment were both reduced, compared with the contents before treatment the difference were significant;the difference between two groups before and after treatment weren' t significant.Conclusion:(1)1. Fire needle and general acupuncture both could improve the symptoms and signs of patients with cervical spondyloticradiculopathy;The healed rate and the significantly effective rate of fire needle group were higher the general acupuncture group. (2)2. Fire needle and general acupuncture both could released the pain of cervical spondyloticradiculopathy;the pain releasing effects of fire needle was better. (3)Fire needle and general acupuncture both could reduce The contents of 5-HT, 5-HIAA, NA;the defference of the two methods weren' t significant.
