Clinical Study On SUFEIPINGGANYANGYIN Decoction In Treating Cough Variant Asthma

Objective:Further exploration on treating Cough Variant Asthma with TCM method and its mechanism. Methods:Using SUFEIPINGGANYANGYIN Decoction (SFPGYYD) which was prepared according to the therapeutic principle of descending lung qi,suppressing hyperactive liver and nourishing yin to balance the five organs in treating 40 patients suffering from Cough Variant Asthma. Results: The clinical investigation shows that SFPGYYD can alleviate symptoms and physical signs of the patients effectively. A total effective rate of 95% was shown in SFPGYYD group,which was a little higher than that of the control group,but no comparability(P>0.05).In comparison with the control group ,the lever of Lung Function index V25, V50, MMEF ascended (P<0.01) ;the effect of Brochjal Provocative Test was better (P<0.01) ;the lever of serum LgE, EOS descended obviously (P<0.01) ;the lever of CDgascended (P<0.05) ,and the lever of CD₄/CD₈ descended (P<0.05 ) .Conclusion: SFPGYYD might work by means of anti-aiway-allegic-inflamtion, lowering the airway hyper-reactivity, alleviating the obstruction of the small airway and regulating the immune system to control the outbreak of Cough Variant Asthma and prevent it form transforming to asthma.
