Object: After analyzing data of the questionnaires for the students, teachers and some experts, this research is trying to discover the needs and suggestions about nursing baccalaureate courses offered in Sichuan University by now. At the same time, this research is also trying to set the evidence for the curriculum reform of Nursing School of Sichuan University. Method: The cross-sectional survey was used in this research. The study explored all the baccalaureate graduates from 1995, including those students being studying in university, teachers of nursing school and some experts of nursing education. The questionnaires were covered curriculum setting, curriculum construction, curriculum worth et al. Results:1. Clinical nursing care is viewed as the most important competency of BSN graduates. And nursing education, nursing management and nursing research should be considered in courses offered.2. The students being study in university suggested the compulsorycurriculum should be reduced and the selective curriculum should be increased. The conflict between time and quantity of curriculum might be resolved by the integrated curriculum.3. The nursing of stomatology might not be the compulsory curriculum and might be considered combine others to be one of the integrated curriculums. Advanced Mathematics might not be the compulsory curriculum.4. It is recommended to set the curriculum about communication and might integrate the nursing manner course or consider setting the course of the health education.5. Some nursing curriculums might be integrated. The courses of Community nursing, public health and prevent medicine might be integrated.6. The results of curriculum must be emphasized. The core curriculum should be emphasized firstly.7. The students being study in university need more curriculums of human science and social science. On the other hand, it's not very well when the nursing education is the only side to educate the graduates about human science and social science.Conclusion: Clinical nursing care is viewed as the most important competency of BSN graduates. And nursing education, nursing management and nursing research should be considered in courses offered. The curriculum construction might be reformed. The results of curriculum must be emphasized. The core curriculum should be considered firstly. It's not very well when the nursing education is the only side to educate the graduates about human science and social science. Suggestion for further study:l.How to show the professional feature in the professional curriculum. 2.How do you define the rational ratio of professional curriculum and professional basic curriculum?3.How do you define the rational ratio of professional curriculum and curriculums of human science and social science?Whether to consider the graduates not work in nursing field or not in setting the courses of BSN?4.How do you define the rational ratio of theory curriculum and practice curriculum?...
