Objective: To afford the basis of improving the life quality of the old people and prevent the mild cognition impair, we observe the possible risk factors about the old people in the city zone of Taiyuan. Methods: We make investigation of the cross-sectional states about ≥60 years old people by typical sampling during 2004.02 and 2005.02 in the city zone of Taiyuan. We filter the patient of MCI in the survey and make the case-control study. All of the objects were genotyped for ApoE by using ASPCR and detect glu ,tg,cho, hdl. All of data was inputted into VFP6.0 and analyzed with SPSS10.0 software. Results: 1 the index of cognition make factor analysis, extract two common factors (memory-attention factor and exercise-harmony factor). Use two factors as dependence variable and make risk factor analysis. 2 In cross-sectional investigation, one-way analysis shows that possible risk factor have sex ,age, employment, education, income, marry, inhabitancy, smoking, alcohol, salty diety, coarse food grain, reading, writing, exercising, touring, house-working, second occupation, HBP, BMI, hypertension, high blood fat, cerebral thrombus, diabetes. Female, older age, physical work, lesser education, out marry, autoinhabitancy, no smoking, no drinking, no exercising, lesser salty, less eating roughage,no often reading,no often writing, less activity ,no often touring, no often do house-working and no second employment are risk factor. In addition, higher hypertension, higher BMI, disease of high hypertension, high blood fat, cerebral thrombus and diabetes are risk factors. Multiple-way analysis show sex, age, education, employment, HBP, BMI, reading, touring, house-working relates to cognition. Male, lower age, more education, cerebral work, lower HBP, lower BMI, often reading, often touring and often house-working are protective factors. 3 In case-control study house-working, one-way analysis shows that sex(OR= 1.859,95%CI 1.016-3.402) ,age(OR= 2.044,95%CI 1.45-2.872), education(OR= 0.236,95%CI 0.141-0.393), inhabitancy(OR=0.393,95%CI 0.177-0.871), marry(OR= 2.713,95%CI 1.428-5.152), employment(OR= 5.485,95%CI 2.710-11.099), income(OR= 3.085,95%CI 1.865-5.103), BMI(OR= 0.493,95%CI 0.330-0.736), smoking(OR= 0.897,95%CI 0.820-0.981), reading(OR= 1.172, 95%CI 1.085-1.267), touring(OR= 1.169,95%CI 1.031-1.325), the number of lost tooth(OR= 1.483,95%CI 1.040-2.116), course of disease of hypertension(OR= 2.641,95%CI 1.430 -4.879) and diabetes(OR= 2.750,95%CI 1.053-7.179), glu(OR= 2.581,95%CI 1.384-4.815) and ApoEε4(OR= 2.641,95%CI 1.430 -4.879) relate to MCI. In addition, age(OR= 1.683,95%CI 1.076-2.631), education(OR= 0.288, 95%CI 0.137 -0.605), employment(OR= 3.632, 95%CI 1.365 -9.664), smoking( OR= 0.804,95%CI 0.703 -0.920, course of disease of hypertension(OR= 0.169,95%CI 0.060-0.478) and glu(OR= 2.860,95%CI 1.254-6.52) are possible risk factors of MCI in multiple-way analysis. 4 Analysis of interaction between polymorphism of ApoE and LDL: in multiplication model, there was no interaction between ApoEε4 and LDL. Because of absence of the number of example, interaction of ApoEε2 and LDL couldn't be analyzed. In addition model, there was interaction between ApoEε4 and LDL. Interaction of ApoEε2 and LDL couldn't be analyzed by the same reason. Conclusion: The risk factor of old people's cognition have age, education, employment, smoking, course of disease of hypertension and glu mainly. We intervening all the factors which can be intervened, there are important meaning in improving the life quality of old people. In addition model, the interactionbetween ApoEε4 and LDL play a important role in probing into the mechanism of the polymorphism of ApoE incurring disease.
