Study On The Pertinence Between Deficiency Of Kedney-yang And Th1/Th2 Cytokines Of Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic Rhinitis (AR) is mediated by immunoglobutin E and is classified as a type I pathological reaction with typical symptoms of itchy, sneezing, sniveling and nasal blocking. It is a common disease in ENT department, and belongs to " Bi Qiu" of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). According to traditional Chinese medicine ,kidney-yang-deficiency is one of the important reasons to lead to AR. Today' s most study shows that the dynamic equilibrium of Th1 and Th2 play an important role in the development of allergic rhinitis. The Thl and Th2 cytokines compose a net work system, when the net is out of balance, it will make for disease. Now Tradional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine treat the balance as an important role,so whether the kidney-yang -deficiency has relation with the Th1/Th2 unbalance.Purpose :To find out the relationship between kidney-yang-deficiency and the Th1/Th2 unbalance.. And to evaluate whether herbs of warming kidney-yang. can adjust the Th1/Th2 unbalance.Methods:80 patients who fitted diagnostic are divided into three groups .Treatment group(30 patients) is treated with Chinese herbs.Control group(25 patients) is treated with western medicine-LORATADINE tablets .All are treated for one month. The third group (25 persons) is healthy without allergic disease .Treatment group is treated with warming kidney herbs evreryday. Control group is treated with 10mg Loratadine perday. Before and after treatment all patients should be exsanguinated .Then we test the Thl cytokines(il-2, IFN-r) and Th2 cyokines (11—4,11—5) by using ELISA and evaluate the curative effect. The evaluation and statistics are done by using SPSS 11.0 for Windows software .And the datas are test by X~2 test and T test. Result: Both the curative projects have distinctly curative effect.
