The Research Of Antiallergic Activity Of Perilla Frutescens

Perilla containing abundant medicinally bioactive constituents belongs to Labiates Perilla frutescent, but it has not been used to treat allergis diseases in our country. The research of antiallergic perilla foliage mainly focuses on Perilla frutescens(L.)Britton var.acuta Kudo forma viridis Makinio abroad, others kinds of which have been seldom reported.According to the current situation of antiallergic perilla foliage in the word, antiallergic activity of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt. var. crispa (Thunb.) Hand.-Mazz foliage has been researched as the object of this thesis. Assay of hyaluronidase activity as standard, the antiallergic constituent has been separated and purified with Diaoion HP-20 and Sephadex LH-20, and the antiallergic result of perilla foliage has been appraised combining the inhibition of hyaluronidase activity in vitro and animal experiment in vivo, that is mouse Passive cutaneous anaphylaxis test, anti-inflammatory test for oleum crotonis-induced ear edema, mouse skin capillary permeability test. The result shows:There are many anti-inflammatories and antiallegic substances in perilla extract, in which the effective component are water-solubility, heat-stable, andnonvolatile. The similar results between hyaluonidase suppressive experiment and antiallegic modes test in animal, prove that assay of hyaluronidase activity can be adorpted in sieving effective antiallergic substance from Perilla frutescens, which is a simple shortcut biochemistry method. AA BB and CC were obtained after being sepetated and purifted, of which the inhibiting degrees of hyaluonidase are 85%, 70.6%, and 91.2% respectively, belong to the most effective antiallegic constituents. The flavnoid and phenol groups are considered antiallergic consitituents after identified by the means of chemistry forcast, UV and IR chromatography,especially that perilla pigment contains antiallergic constituents.
