Research On The Psychological Health Of Medical Personnel And Its Crisis Intervention During SARS

The aim of this paper explores the psychological health state of the medical staff on the site during the SARS period. It tries to illustrate the correlation between the psychological health level of those medical staff and their physical syndromes and to develop some intervention measures in the light of the psychological changes. A global crisis intervention pattern is established to go with the mechanism of psychological activities in the urgent epidemic situation in the hope of providing some scientific and theoretical evidence for effective psychological crisis intervention pattern.The study focuses on 420 subjects who served in Beijing PLA Xiao Tang Shan Hospital during the period of SARS and the subjects were chosen by cluster sampling. The set of questionnaires developed by the Military Medicine Psychology Institute in Xian No. 4 Military Medical University was adopted. They are: "Questionnaire for the Psychology of Medical Personnel during SARS"; "Questionnaire for the Psychological Health of Medical Personnel" and "Questionnaire for the Health Faith of Medical Personnel".
