In order to help clinical nurses know fast and clearly the major influential factors on the common negative mood of patients in non-psychiatric settings,so that basis on how to choose and carry out effective mental intervention can be provided,a mental rating scale named Reasons For Negative Mood Questionnaire in Non-psychiatric Settings was manufactured and its local norm in Shanghai was established,which started with summarizing influential factors on the common negative mood of patients and constituting preliminary analysis framework.Firstly,on the basis of referring to the scientific path of clinical diagnosis,looking up and analyzing the literature,consulting a panel of experts on nursing and experienced clinical nurses,this research tried to form a clear analysis framework of Reasons For Negative Mood Questionnaire in Non-psychiatric Settings,so as to solve the problems of clinical mental health nursing.Secondly,with pilot testing and exploring principal component analysis,the four main reasons for negative mood in non-psychiatric settings were confirmed.They were cognition of disease,hospital environment,social support and personality of patient.In combination with item analysis result,the valid and reliable questionnaire with 4 factors and 62 items was improved. Thirdly, 1004 patients in 4 general hospitals in Shanghai were required to finish the verified questionnaire.The result confirmed that the questionnaire has discriminating power.Finally,according to the result of standardized kinds,the preliminary local norm in Shanghai and cut-off scores of the effective degree were established.They can be applied by nurses as a convenient,feasible and distinctive tool which can be used to analyze influential factors on the common negative mood of patients in non-psychiatric settings.The main characteristic and practicality of the study are confirming 4 influential factors which can be solved by nurses themselves on the common negative mood of patients in non-psychiatric settings,and preliminarily forming the first questionnaire of Reasons ForNegative Mood Questionnaire in Non-psychiatric Settings and its local norm.It may bring hope to' provide objective basis for nurses to carry out mental intervention on patients scientifically.
