| Objectives In this study, artificial negative oxygen ion therapy was prescribed to coal workers pneumoconiosis patients(CWP),the respiratory symptoms and quality of life of patients were investigated before intervention,1 month after intervention and 3 months after intervention, combined with the detection of blood cytokines,to explore the effect of artificial negative oxygen ion therapy on the respiratory system and quality of life of patients,so as to improve the respiratory symptoms and quality of life of patients provides new adjuvant therapy and scientific basis. Methods In this study, patients with pulmonary tuberculosis treated in an occupational disease prevention and Research Institute in Henan Province were selected as the research objects, and 94 patients with coal dust lung diagnosed in(GBZ 70-2015)were randomly divided into control and experimental groups. It was agreed to carry out the research on this topic after the argument of the school ethical committee. The control group was given conventional medication and nebulized inhalation therapy, and the experimental group was given artificial negative oxygen ion adjuvant therapy(negative oxygen ion treatment time was more than 8 hours/day,continuous inhalation for 3 months;air negative oxygen ion concentration was about 3×10~6~5×10~6/cm~3).Serum cytokine levels were detected by Elisa method.Respiratory status and quality of life in two groups were investigated by St Georges Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)and quality of life questionnaire(SF-36).Results 1 Effects of artificial negative oxygen ion inhalation therapy on serum cytokine levels in CWP:Comparison between the two groups found, the levels of serum IL-4 and s ICAM-1 in CWP patients in the experimental group were significantly decreased by 3months of intervention(P<0.05).Within group comparisons showed that the serum levels of IL-18,IL-4,IL-10,IL-17 and s ICAM-1 in the experimental group after 3 months of intervention had significantly lower than those before and 1 month of intervention(P<0.05).The results of the intergroup comparisons after stratification analysis revealed that patients with stage II pneumoconiosis serum IL-8 levels in the experimental group was significantly different from the control group after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05),patients with stages I CWP in the experimental group had significantly lower serum IL-18,Il-4,IL-17 and s ICAM-1 levels than the control group after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05).Within group comparisons revealed that serum levels of IL-8,IL-18,IL-4,IL-10,IL-17 and s ICAM-1 in experimental patients with stages I and II CWP who received the intervention for 3 months were significantly decreased compared with those before the intervention(P<0.05).2 Effects of artificial negative oxygen ion therapy on the respiratory system of CWP.Compared with the control group, the respiratory symptoms, activity ability, disease influence and total score of the experimental group were significantly lower(P<0.05).Within group comparisons found that CWP patients in the experimental group scored significantly lower in all aspects at 3 months of intervention than those before and 1month of intervention(P<0.05).After stratification study, intergroup comparison found that the scores of respiratory situation, mobility, effects of diseases and four aspects of total score in SGRQ questionnaire at 3 months of intervention for CWP patients in experimental groups I and II were significantly decreased compared with the control group(P<0.05).Intra group comparison showed that the SGRQ questionnaire scores of respiratory condition, activity ability, disease influence and total score of the experimental group were significantly different from those before intervention and one month after intervention(P<0.05).3 Effect of artificial negative oxygen ion therapy on quality of life of CWP.A comparison with a concurrent control group found that the scores of the six dimensions of PF,RP,RE,MH,VT,GH and the total score on the SF-36 questionnaire were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05).Within group comparison found that PF,RP,RE,BP,MH,VT and GH seven dimensions scores and total score in SF-36 questionnaire were significantly higher in the experimental group of CWP patients after 3 months’intervention compared to those before intervention(P<0.05).Conclusions 1 The levels of IL-8,IL-18 and s ICAM-1 in serum of stage I and II CWP were decreased by artificial oxygen negative ion therapy, and the expression of IL-4 and IL-10 was inhibited, which was possible to alleviate the process of pulmonary fibrosis;2Artificial oxygen negative ion therapy may relieve the dyspnea of patients with coal worker pneumoconiosis at stage I and II,especially after exercise, improve their endurance and improve their quality of life.Tables 23;References 117... |
