Antibacterial Activity Of Chinese Medicinal Herbs Against Ureaplasma Urealyticum In Vitro

Object: In order to study the sensitivity of Chinese medicinal herbs to Uu ingenitourinary.Method: We examined the inhibitory effect of 12 Chinese medicinal herbs to 7standard strains of Uu by microdilution method in Vitro, and examined MIC of 12Chinese medicinal herbs.Result: The test showed the sensitivity of Uu to the 12 Chinese medicinal herbs,which were sorted by descending order: Cortex Phellodendri, Radix AngelicaeDahuricae, Herba Taraxaci, Rhizoma Paridis, Folium Perillae, Flos Lonicerae,Fructus Forsythiae, Radix Isatidis, Fructus Kochiae, FructusCarpesii Abrotanoides, Cortex Moutan,' Radix Sophorae Flavescentis. Among 12Chinese medicinal herbs, Uu had a higher sensitivity to Cortex Phellodendri (MIC90@7.8125mg of dried medicinal herbs/ml), a moderate sensitivity to Radix AngelicaeDahuricae, Herba Taraxaci, Rhizoma Paridis, Folium Perillae, Flos Lonicerae,Fructus Forsythiae, Radix Isatidis, Fructus Kochiae, Fructus Carpesii Abrotanoides,Cortex Moutan, (15.625 @ MIC90@ 62.5), not sensitive to SophoraeFlavescentis(MIC90>250).Conclusion: According to the experiment, we sifted Cortex Phellodendri and otherChinese medicinal herbs which had remarkable inhibitory effect to Uu inVitro, experiment showed that Chinese medicinal herbs can be used for the preventionand cure of Uu infection, which therefore provided proof for the TCM treatment ofUu infection.
