The Application And Implementation Of Geographic Information System In The Field Of Medical Statistics

Objective: For the purpose to change the situation lacking useful technique dealing with spatial data in the field of medial statistics, introducing the concepts and methods of GIS, combining visual programming tool and GIS ActiveX component to construct a medical Geographic Information System containing statistical analysis module to meet the common needs.Methods: Using Delphi 5.0 and Mapobjects 2.1 evaluation version to construct a medical Geographic Information System.Result: Completed the main structure of whole system and a few modules, such as map displaying module, database management module, statistical analysis module, graphs creating module. Conclusion: By the using of Geographic Information System technique, we can do the Geographic data Analysis that could not be easily done before. And expanded the way of Geographic data Analysis Aided by statistical module, increase the using rate of data.
