Clinical Study On Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome By Wenshentiaojing Decoction And Clomiphene Citrate

Objective To explore the curative effect and mechanism of treation polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)patients by Wenshentiaojing Decoction (WSTJD) and Clomiphene Citrate(CC).methods Radioimmunoradioassay was used to measure the serum levels of insulin (INS),luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),estrone (E2),testosterone (T) and free testosterone (FT) in PCOS women with insufficiency of the kidney-Yang syndrome (n=30)and normal controls(n=20). Changes were accessed in the level of INS , LH,FSH ,E2,T and FT, the relationship between INS and BMI,LH,LH/FSH,E2,T,FT, and in the relationship between BMI and LH/FSH,T,FT. Results the total effective rate is percent 93.33,the ovulation rate is percent 82.24,the pregnant rate is percent 46.67. Serum INS ,LH,LH/FSH,T and FT levels in women with PCOS before treatment were significantly higher than in controls. INS levels in women with PCOS were significantly correlated with T,BMI and FT, while no significant correlation was found with LH, LH/FSH and E2- BMI in women with PCOS were significantly correlated with FT, while no significant correlation was found with T,LH/FSH.WSTJD and CC could decrease serum the levels of INS,LH,LH/FSH,T and FT in patients with PCOS significantly and increase serum FSH level significantly. Conclusion High serum INS, serum T are two important pathological characteristics in PCOS patients, and serum FT is more significant than serum T.WSTJD and CC can regulate the unbalanced metabolization of serum INS, serum LH and serum FSH in PCOS patients with insufficiency of the kidney-Yang, helping to resume the balance,so as to enhance the rates of ovulation and pregnancy.
