Study On The Effect Of Medical Granules Of Shimingyin In Treatment Of Amblyopia

A systemic discussion on the etiology and pathogenesis of ambylopia is made, and the therapeutic principles of nourishing the kidney and liver, replenishing vital essence and blood, recuperating the spleen and Qi are established.The therapeutic effect of amblyopia treated with the Medical Granules of Shimingyin(MGS)and the influence on model rat fed with adenine are observed. The primary cure rate and effective rate are 72.6% and 94.4% respectively after 11.3 eyes with amblyopia are treated with MGS. Meanwhile, the data of P-VEP after the treatment are also improved significantly. The results indicate that the curative effects are closely linked to the degrees of amblyopia rather than its types. There is no difference in curative effect between the group treated with MGS and that with Decoction of Shimingyin(DS). Experimental results prove that MGS can promote development of the body, improve the related targets of the model indicating deficiency of the kidney (gaining weight, reducing urine discharge, lowering the level of BUN and robin, and promoting the level of F, T, E2 ,LH, T3 T4) and restore Hb and RBC in model rat with excessive loss of blood(P< 0.01, 005). The curative effect of MGS, the same as that of DS is proved clinically and experimentally with great reliability. The crux of the therapy of MGS may be credited with the promotion of the body self s responsibility to outer stimuli.
