Clinical Study On The Effect Of Shimingyin Decoction In Treatment Of Myopic Amblyopia

Objective:To observe the curative effectiveness and explore the mechanism of ShiMingYin Decoction(SMYD) of myopic amblyopia.Methods:The patients having myopic amblyopia were divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group.The later was treated with classical therapeutic methods of modern medicine,the former was treated same as the later except prescribing SMYD. ResuIts:Through observing the 68 eyes of 34 patients of the treatment group and 70 eyes of 36 patients of the control group ,we found that the primary cure rate and effective rate were 92.65% and 51.47 %,respectively, the primary cure rate and effective rate of the control group were 67.14% and 20.00 %.After treatment the data of P-VEP is also improved. There was significant difference between the two groups.Conclusions:The results indicate that it is much better to treat myopic amblyopia with SMYD than with classical therapeutic methods of modern medicine.The blood of the bulbus oculi was increased obviously after treated with SMYD ,the nourishment of retina and optic nerve was also improved,which could delay ocular axis lengthening and diopter inceasing.We supposed that the therapeutic mechanism is relative to all the above.
