The paper summarizes the general situation of constipation in Modern Medical Science, explodes the newest development of the cause, the pathogenesis and the treatment of constipation.Objective Studing the affluence of cause, pathogenesis and surgeon methods of constipation.Methods Chosing chronic severe constipation patients in clinic to divide into two groups in random; control group is adopted usual dosage and procedure of Traditional Chinese medicine; surgeon treatment group is adopted left colectomy and rectal mucosa ligation and proctopexy with injection method, sample through pathological examination.Results There is a distinct ultrastructural neuropathology of colonic myenteric plexus, surgeon treatment group has a distinguish effect in comparsion with internal treatment group.Conclusionl~ chronic severe constipation is not a functional disease but a structural disease.2~ Contact laxatives should be prevented to adopt to treat constipation.3.. The idea of constipation treating method should be changed into adopting mainly surgeon methods and other synethesis treating method.
