This thesis analyzed the present and heading fox breeding status home and broad, expatiating on the necessary of fox breeding development in China. For information and technique sharing with developed breeding countries, it introduced Visual Sampo to make a development by combine our present fox breeding technique with computer sofrware. This system can promotes fox breeding technique, management and registration on the farms. This study was a good combine of professional breeding knowledge and computer technique application, achieving in developed data storage and feasibility of following work using.Visual Sampo database system was empoldered with Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0 that can establish and correct the fox breeders' database more conveniently by improving practicability of the software. Visual Sampo Breeding Management System was designed for powerful function of biological calculation and breeding values estimate. The basic function of the software is ID establishment, including basic information of fox individuals and their parents' : sequence number, birthday, pedigree, status, grade, female productivity information(oestrus, copulation plan and hybridization). The second function of the program is genetic evaluation, estimating breeding value with individual characters: size, color, massiveness, covering purity and general impression(quality). All funtions are for daily operation and administration.The application of fox breeding electronic data processing system in domestic fox breeding will make fox breeder selection and match more scientific and convenient, and it will also make a benefit for resolving the ubiquitous questions in domestic fox breeding, such as consanguinity confusion, inbreeding and it will help domestic fox breeding to be more information-based and developed.
