Green vegetables is the development tendency of vegetable consume in the 21th century. It can not only promote the safe production of high quality food but also improve agricultural ecology environment. Weifang is the early and developing fast city in green vegetables production. The present situation, exist problem and development countermeasure of green vegetables production in Weifang were studied in this article.1 .The present situation of green vegetables production in Weifang: The leading status of green vegetables production has been established; the consciousness of protecting environment has been attached and the environment condition of green vegetable producing base has been improved; the extend of science and technology was strengthened; the leading enterprise developed rapidly and take the lead; the green vegetables market and standardization have been established; the organization ability of farmer was enhanced.2. The problems affecting the production of green vegetables in Weifang:The demand of vegetable seed is increasing, while the marketing of the local seed is decreasing. The seed quality is lower and seed management is confusion. The amount of applying fertilizer is a bit too high and the ratio of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium is irrational, so the ratio of fertilizer utilization is getting lower. The amount of pesticide applying is rather high, the consciousness of applying pesticide safely is not enough and the standard of pesticide residue is not clear. The technology structure of those working on green vegetable producting and management is not rational. The age structure of the vegetable producers is a little too old and they have not enough knowledge about green vegetables.3. The countermeasures to develop green vegetables in Weifang: Making full use of the resource superiority now available and improving the traditional good vegetable varieties. Enhancing the quality of the seeds,purifying the seed market and estabilishing the seed industry group. Changing the traditional consuming concept,facing the market and renewing the service idea. Applying fertilizer rationally and reducing the amount of fertilizer applying; Taking the basic measure of applying fertilizer such as controlling nitrogen,protecting phosphorus and increasing potassium;Developing fertilizering technology by using formular measuring soils, enhancing the applying amount of biological fertilizer. Applying pesticide rationally,improving the using rate of pesticide and strengthening the use of biological agent. Controlling the quality of the green vegetables from the source, preventing the pesticede residue,fertilizer remains and harmful materials in green vegetables exceeding standard. Making a further strengh on developing the farmer's science technology skills and formulating a favour policy to suck up more talents with high technology.
