Temperature is an important ecological factor for honeybee development, which is closely related to population development, bee-keeping production and efficient pollination. The effect of temperature on honeybee will have an important significance to ensure normal development and activity of colony, scientific raise honeybee, good production of bee product. The development of eggs are the first stage of ontogenesis, the development condition of this stage will have effect on each posterior stages of development of honeybee. In order to clarify the effect of temperature on development of honeybee eggs, we investigated worker's and drone's eggs of Apis cerana cerane Fabricius and Apis mellifera ligustica Spinola in incubators. The honeybee eggs developmental periods and the hatching rate were measured systematically when the variable temperature at 24℃based on 35℃, the tested time of Apis cerana cerane fertilized eggs was 8~32 h, Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized was 8~48 h, Apis mellifera ligustica unfertilized was 8~40 h.The results were as follows:(1) At 24℃, eggs developmental periods obviously prolonged with tested time increased.(2) At 24℃, the tested time ranged from 0 to 24 h, the hatching rate of 0~24 h of Apis cerana cerane fertilized eggs, Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs and Apis mellifera ligustica unfertilized eggs ranged from 0 to 100%. the same tested time, the hatching rate increased with eggs developmental periods increased. But when 30~66 h of honeybee eggs treated 8~32 h, the hatching rate ranged from 83.33% to 100%, the effect of the low temperature on hatching rate was not obviously. when the tested time exceed 32 h,the hatching rate is obviously degraded.(3) At 24℃,the effect of temperature on Apis cerana cerane fertilized eggs were more obvious than Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs, especially the eggs age of 0~24 h.The eggs developmental periods of Apis cerana cerane fertilized eggs were obviously shorter than Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs.(4) The effect of temperature on Apis mellifera ligustica unfertilized eggs were more obvious than Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs. At 24℃,when the tested time was 24 h, the eggs developmental periods was 24 h, the hatching rate of Apis mellifera ligustica unfertilized eggs was 0, but Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs was 10.00%; when the tested time was 32 h, the eggs developmental periods was 30 h, the hatching rate of Apis mellifera ligustica unfertilized eggs was 50.00%, but Apismellifera ligustica fertilized eggs was 96.67%; when the tested time was 40 h, the eggs developmental periods was 30 h, the hatching rate of Apis mellifera ligustica unfertilized eggs was 26.67%, Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs was 93.33%.(5) It is different to other eggs aged, at 24℃, when 66 h Apis mellifera ligustica fertilized eggs were treated 0~48 h, the hatching rate ranged from 80.00% to 100%, the disparity was not obvious. The change of eggs developmental periods was very small, it was not obviously prolonged with tested time increased.
