Cottonseeds are the most basal manufacture product. With the extending of the precision sowing, in Xinjiang BingTuan the higher quality cottonseeds will be needed. In recent years,owing to the effect caused by manifold factors, the proportion that the"red seeds"occupied have increased in most area of xinjiang. The quality of cottonseeds and the development of the precision sowing are seriously affected by the"red seeds". Because the similarity in specific gravity and air characteristic between the"red-seed-s"and"mature seeds", it's very difficult to sort just by the traditional technics. At present the main method to eliminate the"red-seeds"is depended on the manual work. But this method need great labor strength and high cost but the produce efficiency is low and the selection effect is not steady. The research showed that the"red-seeds"and"mature seeds"had a difference in surface color. So it's very essential to find an effective color sorting method.Based on the accomplishment of the RGB color model hardware, the delinted cottonseeds sorting and controlling system was designed.Firstly, selected germination rate and trend as two main evaluating indexes of cottonseeds quality. Using the technology of digital photography and image color analysis to distill the color characteristic of delinted cottonseeds and carried through germinating experiments strictly according to the national standard. Adopted the single variable linear regression and the stepwise regression analysis methods to discuss the correlation coefficient betwe-en the germination rate and trend of delinted cottonseeds and color under the RGB c-olor model. It showed that the germination rate and trend of delinted cottonseeds and the color characteristic parameters had a distinct relativity analysis under the RGB color model. Testified the correlation coefficient between the growth characteristics of delinted cottonseeds and the surface color characteristics. The result provided a theoretic basis for the delinted cottonseeds sorting under the RGB color model.Based on the above research and the selection request of cottonseeds under the machining environment, the sorting system adopted RGB color model hardware, using the high speed, precision and reliability RGB color sensor. Simultaneously, using the high speed electromagnetism valve to control nozzle and using FPGA to be as the multicenter real time collection and parallel disposing core chip.In order to guarantee the accuracy, stability and separation efficiency of the system, took research on the key mechanism of delinted cottonseeds color sorting with the system controlling parameters. Setup the restricting equation of V glide section shape, obliquity and length. Established the installing position model of the sensor and the nozzle. Designed and set up a single channel test-bed which could freely adjusted the position of launder board, sensor and electromagnetism valve based on the research.Then, took the SCM AT89C51 as the main controlling core and the FPGA as the data processing core.Made design to the extending and distributing of the storage space controlling system of color sorting for delinted cottonseeds and the data collecting and processing system. Simulated each main module of the sorting system at real time under the circumstance of QuartusII5.0. Carried through several relevant anti-jamming designs to the jamming factor of the sorting system under machining circumstance.Finally, experimented on the designed sorting system based on the single channel test-bed after debugging of the system.The result of experiment shows that the sorting system is reliable and steady. The sorting effect can basically meet the request of color sorting.
