Blueberry has high nutritional value and good taste,and people’s demand for it is increasing day by day.In terms of blueberry sorting,China now mainly relies on labor,which is not only costly and inefficient,but also easily damages the quality of blueberries and affects their economic benefits.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a blueberry sorting device that is suitable for China’s national conditions,can increase the sorting efficiency without damaging the fruit quality,has a lower cost,and a higher degree of automation.This paper used the size and color of blueberries as the sorting standard to study the sorting work.According to the functional modules,the blueberry sorting device can be divided into five functional parts: volume sorting device,vibration sequencing and feeding device,color sorting device,graded unloading and rejection device and control system,which were analyzed and researched:1)Analyzed the volume parameters of blueberries to determine the sorting standard.The article adopted the blueberry volume sorting method based on gap belt transmission.Analyzed and calculated the angle of the wheel groove on pulleys for preventing derailment.The drop collision analysis was carried out,and the maximum relative speed and the allowable height of free fall for blueberry fruits without damage during the sorting process were obtained.2)Studied the mechanism of blueberry vibration sequencing,and proposed a vibration sequencing and feeding method based on curved fruit guides.The dynamic analysis of blueberries on the curved fruit guides and the jump analysis on the vibrating plate were carried out to provide a theoretical basis for the angular layout of the vibrating plate and the curved fruit guides to ensure that the blueberries were fed evenly and orderly.3)Analyzed the color parameters of blueberries to determine the sorting standard,and adopted a blueberry color sorting method based on machine vision technology.Processed the collected blueberry images,used the clustering method for color image segmentation,and performed maturity judgment based on the obtained binarized image.Selected the light source,image collector,etc.in the image acquisition module,and divided the conveying module into multiple stations to match the image acquisition and processing.4)Designed a blueberry graded unloading and rejection method,which was realized by the unloading actuator through rotating the angle.Determined the unloading stations at different angles of graded slide,designed the size of the grading slide and the collection box,and optimized the installation method.5)The control system included two parts: the part of blueberry maturity detection and the part of grading and unloading execution.Selected the hardware and software of the control system,and designed the specific control flow scheme.6)Carried out the structure design of the blueberry sorting device,built the prototype of the blueberry sorting device and carried out the blueberry sorting experiment.Based on the results of manual classification,the actual sorting effect was obtained: the comprehensive correct rate reached 91.1%,and the sorting performance of the blueberry sorting device was good.
