It is practically significant in developing the traditional peach flowers into cut flower.Up to now, there are few reports about the senescence physiology of postharvest and preservation of peach flowers. Primus persica 'Chunguang' was selected as material, for studying the senescence process and the basic senescence physiology of postharvest, the selection of pretreatment and vasing solution of cut flower, and the effect of harvest-time on the vase qulity after stored for a long-period of Primus persica 'Chunguang'.By observing the change of diameter and apperance of cut flowers of Primus persica during the vase, 6 tipcal stages of opening and senescene process of Primus persica cut flowers was determined as opening indexs, which included blossom period, loose blossom period, early opening period, half opening period, full opening period, wither period. The droping off of petals, withering, brown stain, blue stain as primary characteristics of senescence was confirmed. Aiming at the basic senescence physiology, the change of endogenous ethylene production in different development stages and effect of exogenous ethylenen ETP and ethylene inhibitor STS were studied, which indicated that Primus persica 'Chunguang' was like increase during later stage type. 100mg/l ETP could accelerate the flowering process during prior vasing, and expedite senescene process latterly, and reduce the vase life and the monolithic percent of flowering; 0.5 mM,1mM and 2mMSTS then restrained badly the water uptake during vasing, and impacted the vase quality, and decreased the vase life;during the process of opening and senescence of Prunus persica 'Chunguang',the content of reductive sugar and protein and SOD activity showed similar trendency: reduced slightle at first, then increased and went to climax at full-open stage, then decreased rapidly, and went to minimum value at wither period .By studying of the preservation effect of pretreatment and vasing solution of Prunus persica 'Chunguang' cut flower, the water balance , vase life, percent of freash weight and precent of flowering were researched, the results showed pretreatment solution: 8% sucrose +10 mg /L 6-BA+ 50 mg /L C7H5NaO2+ 300 mg /L AL2(SO4)3 + 250ppm8-HQ and vasing solution: 5% sucrose +10 mg /L 6-BA+ 250ppm8-HQ were best. The effect of harvest-time on the vase qulity after long-period-storage of Prunus persica 'Chunguang' was studied,By harvesting branches 7 times at interval of 15d approximately, and recording the percent of freash weight change during storage.percent of floweing and full flowering, vase life and the time of flower evocation during vasing, the most suitable harvest-time in which the cutflowers can be stored for a long time was obtained. The results showed that the branches harvested in late March, with the vase life of 5-6 days and 80% flowering, can be stored to middle August, and had better ornamental value; the freash weight of the branches which were treated by the pretreatment solution B(8%sucrose+10 mg /L6-BA+50mg /L C7H5NaO2+ 300 mg /L AL2(SO4)3 + 250ppm8-HQ ) kept increasing during the whole storage period, which might prove that this wet-store method didn't result in water stress, and can be used for long-period storage.
