Prunus mume is a kind of traditional flower with elegant scent and graceful branches. And the market of Mei cut flower has great development potential. Combined with market demands, there are some problems crying out for solutions in the sphere of supplying for Spring Festival and preservative methods of Mei Cut Flower. Prunus mume'Fenhongzhusha'was selected as material to study the technique of postharvest flower forcing by dealing with different vase solutions, temperatures, and bud opening solutions.'Fenhongzhusha'and'Meirenmei'were selected as materials to study the suitable harvest-time and preservative methods by cutting branches in different time and dealing with different pretreatment solutions and vase solutions. The major conclusions are as follows:1. By observing the change of the appearance of cut flowers of Prunus mume'Fenhongzhusha'during the period of postharvest flower forcing, 6 stages of opening process was determined as opening indexes, which included tight blossom period (the first stage), color appearing period (the second stage), loose blossom period (the third stage), early opening period (the fourth stage), full opening period (the fifth stage), wither period (the sixth stage).2. It was found that vase solutions used during the postharvest flower forcing period could keep the water balance of'Fenhongzhusha', improve the stability of cytolemma, and slow down the decomposition of soluble suger and soluble protein, so that the quality of forcing flower could be advanced. Vase solution 3%sucrose+300 mg/LAl2(SO4)3+250 mg/L 8-HQC could improve the percent of flowering and full flowering, 3% sucrose +10mg/L 6-BA+250 mg/L 8-HQC could prolong the vase life of'Fenhongzhusha'.3. Temperature had great impact on the quality of of flower forcing of'Fenhongzhusha'. Forced in 15℃, the quality of flowers were best. Forced in 10℃, the flowering was not in order. Forced in 20℃, flowers were in the state of water stress, and vase life was short, and the percent of full flowering was low. The result of orthogonal test showed that bud opening solution 3%sucrose+50 mg/LGA3+100mg/L 8-HQC was best.4. Cut the branches of'Fenhongzhusha'and'Meirenmei'in three periods: tight blossom period (the first stage), color appearing period (the second stage) and loose blossom period (the third stage), and then observed the quality of flowering.'Fenhongzhusha'was best to cut in color appearing period. 'Meirenmei'was best to cut in loose blossom period. Vase solution did not effective to the branches which were in tight blossom period.5. Pretreating'Fenhongzhusha'and'Meirenmei'cut flower by 1.0μl/L 1-MCP combined with 5%sucrose +200mg/L 8-HQC for 8 hours could prolong the vase life and improve the percent of flowering and percent of full flowering effectively. The vase solutions 3%sucrose +10mg/L 6-BA +200 mg/L 8-HQC and 3%sucrose +200 mg/L Al2(SO4)3+200mg/L 8-HQC could prolong the vase life observably. Cold storage could keep the quality of'Fenhongzhusha'and'Meirenmei'cut flower in a certain period. By dealing with pretreatment,'Fenhongzhusha'and'Meirenmei'remained good quality in the 20th day, when stored in 0±1℃.
