The Chamaenerion angustifolium, perennial herb,belongs to chamaenerion genus of onagraceae family,distributed in the north temperate and frigid zone, in northeast China, north China, northwest, southwest, etc. It naturally borns in the higher elevations of natural forest edge, forest, grassland slopes, riparian grass and fire or logging slash.,which has beautiful flowers, brightly colored, long flowering periodof 50 days and be adaptable. So it has high application value.It is preferred plant and landscape materials and a good prospect in the urban landscape.Through the introduction of wild it to Harbin and cutting,seeding,ramets and plant tissue culture methods,I studied the reproduction of the system of Chamaenerion angustifolium.It had provided technical guarantee of Chamaenerion angustifolium large-scale,standardized production, established the system of breeding and provided the beneficial reference. The primary research results as follows:1. The wild Chamaenerion angustifolium was introduced in Harbin city with continental monsoon climate, originated in Liangshui Nature Reserve of Xiaoxingan Mountains in Heilongjiang Province. Contrasted to the original wild ones of the same year, the introduced ones of the cultivation in the artificial conditions could live through the summer and winter safely with normal growth and development. The growth of introduced Chamaenerion angus-tifolium was divided into four periods according to its characters of growth standards in Harbin. Compared to the original ones, the wild plants in introduced area had fine ornamental characteristics and its quantitative characters including inflorescence quantity, the number of flowers in a single inflorescence, flower size, pedicel length, calyx length are more bigger than original ones. But the plants in original areas had more uniform flower size, and its inflorescence and capsule length were longer than the introduced ones. We had got the basic data of wild Chamaenerion angustifolium cultivated in the areas with the same latitude and climate types, which had laid the foundation for the work of application of Chamaenerion ang-ustifolium in urban landscaping.2. When at 20℃,with perlite as medium and IBA as rooting hormone treated the Chamaenerion angustifolium was best,and the growth cycle of rooting cuttings was short.But the sampling time was limited,and operation and management required the higher level.3. At 30/20℃, The germination rate of seeds Chamaenerion angustifolium was high and moderate growed, not until soaked to sprout with distilled water the seeds were best. In the sand:peat:germination of garden soil up to the time=15:40:45 of matrix, the seeds and growed fastest and well.Through the seedlings,the plants growed strong and well. But it has some difficults such as collecting seeds and cuttings which bornes in the higher elevations of natural forest edge, forest, grassland slopes, riparian grass and fire or logging slash. Plus its seeds are tiny and sprout rate low, it requires relatively longer and curing time from sowing to blossom.4.Through the ramet,the Chamaenerion angustifolium easy to survive,the method was simple and easy, but limited,and the time was restricted,a large number of plant, the structure of wild populations of Chamaenerion angustifolium and ecological environment were damag-ed.5.Nodal segment explants of Chamaenerion angustifolium were cultured on Murashige and Skoog(MS) medium supplemented with different plant growth regulators(6-BA,NAA) for mass propagation.The results showed that the MS medium containing 0.2 mg/L NAA and 2.5 mg/L 6-BA was suitable for bud differentiation.,and adventtitious buds grew healthily.The proliferation of adventtitious buds on MS medium containing O.lmg/L NAA and 0.5mg/L 6-BA grew healthily.1/2MS and 0.1% activated carbon medium supplemented was applied for the root developed. Rapid propagation of tissue culture derived a long time, convenient, can be carried out throughout the year, while cultivating a large number of aseptic seedlings, which develop into a robust plant growth. Quality traits can be beneficial to the variation found in tissue culture plants, as provide the basis for cultivating new varieties of materials, but requires a higher technical personnel, and higher costs.This comprehensive comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of four breeding methods can be shown:the cutting propagation and in vitro rapid propagation method of the Chamaenerion angustifolium is better, and suitable for large-scale, standardized production.When economic conditions are in line with the technical requirements,propagation in vitro is an ideal reproduction.
