Rosmarinus officinalis is native to the Mediterranean coast and enjoys a warm and humid climate.At present,it is mainly introduced and cultivated in the central and southwestern part of Handan City is located in the southernmost part of Hebei Province and belongs to the warm temperate zone,which provides the possibility for the introduction and cultivation of R.officinalis In order to determine the introduction adaptability and propagation methods of different varieties of R.officinalis in Handan area,this experiment was conducted on Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Arp’,Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Albus’,Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Severn Sea’,Rosmarinus officinalis‘Lockwood de Forest’.The phenological stage,growth and development status,introduction adaptability and cutting propagation technology of four varieties of Fragrantia in Handan were studied.The main results are as follows:1.Observation results of the phenological period of each variety for two consecutive years showed that the four varieties in Handan area began to sprout in early April each year,and the leaves began to spread from late April to early May,and they entered the vegetative growth period.August is the period of rapid growth of branches.June-August is the period of rapid growth of branches.The initial flowering period and flowering duration of various varieties are quite different.Except for the ‘Arp’ variety that never bloomed during the observation period,the other three varieties bloomed successively from late June to early August.In the first ten days of October,the four varieties entered the cessation period one after another,and the annual growth period was 162 d-193 d.The longest annual branch of the ‘Severn Sea’ variety is 28.45 cm,followed by the ‘Albus’ and the ‘Lockwood de Forest’,and the ‘Arp’ variety has the shortest annual branch.The annual average aboveground biomass of the ‘Albus’ variety is the highest,reaching 2237.8 g,followed by the ‘Lockwood de Forest’ and the ‘Arp’cultivars,and the ‘Severn Sea’ variety has the smallest annual biomass.The results of the stress resistance survey of four varieties showed that none of the four varieties could survive the winter naturally in Handan,and their cold resistance was poor.The cold resistance of the ‘Severn Sea’ variety was relatively stronger than that of the other three varieties;the investigation results of natural waterlogging,and diseases and insect pests showed that the waterlogging tolerance,and disease and insect resistance of the ‘Arp’ and ‘Severn Sea’ varieties were relatively higher than other two varieties;under natural drought conditions,the drought resistance of the ‘Severn Sea’and the ‘Lockwood de Forest’ varieties were relatively higher than other two varieties.2.Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process,four constrained layers of growth and development characteristics,adversity resistance,ornamental effects and development potential were determined,as well as 14 standard layer evaluation systems including growth period,biomass,growth vigor,flowering and fruiting,cold tolerance,and waterlogging tolerance,etc.The comprehensive evaluation results showed that the weight of cold resistance is the largest,followed by flowering and fruiting and waterlogging tolerance,which are the main key factors for the success of introduction.The highest score in the comprehensive evaluation of the four varieties of ‘Severn Sea’is 2.4365,and the order of the scores is ‘Severn Sea’,‘Lockwood de Forest’,‘Arp’,and‘Albus’.3.Three factors completely random cutting test results show that the concentration of plant growth regulator and cutting type are the main factors affecting the rooting of R.officinalis cuttings.The most suitable cutting type for R.officinalis rooting is semi-lignified cuttings.Plant growth regulators are IBA 50 mg/L and IBA 50mg/L+NAA 50 mg/L.The cutting rooting effect is the best in river sand.The cutting period has a significant effect on the rooting of R.officinalis,When cutting in the autumn and winter in October,the rooting rate of ‘Albus’ was as high as94.07%,and the rooting rate of cuttings was the lowest in August,with a rooting rate of only 71.67%.
