Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop in Onagraceae is a kind of wild flower, which have beautiful flowers, brightly colored, and long flowering period. So it has high application value. The basic research database for Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop which comes from Nature Reserve of HeiLongjiang province is broadened in order to be better applied in the landscape. Wild Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop were used to conduct the research on biological characteristics. The basic data of seed germination characteristics, individual development rhythm, the blossom and pollination characteristics were obtained, and explore elementarily the anatomical structure.Through the research on their seed germination characteristics, we can conclusion that the seed of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop belongs to the small seed, the optimum temperature of seed germination is 30℃/20℃,and sensitive to light. In the optimum temperature, soaking the seeds to seed white, the highest seedling is best and fastest. The case of seed germination stored at 4℃,its activity with storage time decreased. Germination of optimal substrate for seed is river sand: peat:garden soil=15:40:45.Through the observation on the development process from seed to seedling, we can indicate that the cotyledons of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop emerged when seeds germinating. The seedlings of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop are uniform in sprouting and growth vigor is relatively weaker, belong to straight root system. The annual seedlings have the phase of vegetative growth and Reproductive growth. Data of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop were gained, following height was from 80 to 120, the leaf length was from 8 to 18cm and the crown width was from 30 to 50cm respectively.The plants go into the wilting stage in late October. Biennial seedlings of them begin to turn green during the last ten-day of April in spring in Harbin, annual growth follows the rhythm of slow-fast-slow. The inflorescence of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop is raceme; its color is mainly pink,its flower diameter is from 22 to 25mm; its florescence is from June to September;its fruit period is from July to October.Pollination method of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop is Insect pollination. Under laboratory conditions pollen viability was not high and Stigma acceptability gradually rise to last out 3days after the petals opening, subsequently started to decline.The research and observation on morphological characteristics, anatomical structure the of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop showed that the root is rich and straight root system in 5-20cm range. Root of Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop is epidermal bursting, the new conservation organizations periderm is formed, and cells were closely arranged to increase its capacity to resist external adverse environment, to reduce transpiration. Stem having the more developed pith and cortex collenchyma, it indicates that stems have the structural characteristics of drought tolerance. Leaf veins having stronger mechanical tissue showed that it has the ability of drought and shade tolerance.Through the above research, the biological characteristics of different growth period is obtained. The basic research database for Chamaenerion angustifolium(L·)Scop is broadened in order to be better applied in the landscape. Meanwhile, this research can provide a credible data to the cross breeding. So, this work is of great significant value.
