Study On Yunnan 's Participation In International Cooperation Project Of AIDS Prevention And Control

Since the first HIV/AIDS appeared in 1981 in the United States, AIDS has rapidly spread worldwide quickly. It has caused a huge impact on human survival, social stability and economic development. AIDS is one of the biggest threats in human history. As one of the biggest public health problems, AIDS has become a threat to human survival and social development, which needs the efforts of the humanity to deal with.Since Yunnan’s first reported AIDS case in 1987, the development of the AIDS epidemic in Yunnan has gone through the following four stages: the incoming phase, the proliferation phase, the rapid g rowth phase and the stable phase. During this period, AIDS international cooperation projects play an important role. Therefore, conscientiously summing up the experience in international cooperation projects is propitious for in-depth study of foreign advanced prevention concepts, technical measures and management experience. The project purpose and significance of the paper is, to clear out the AIDS international cooperation projects Yunnan participated, analyze the role international cooperation projects in AIDS prevention, assess the impact of international cooperation projects and sum up the lessons learned and disadvantages involved in the projects. The specific objectives are as follows:(1) collect and comb AIDS international cooperation projects Yunnan participated in, then classified and analyzed them from different views such as the main participant bodies, target g roups and project sponsors, and then summarized projects’ achievements and experiences;(2) the combination of previous analysis for exposure in international cooperation projects in question for Yunnan Province in the new round of AIDS Action recommendations on how to better take advantage of international cooperation projects;(3) predict the prospects for international cooperation on AIDS in Yunnan and propose several strategies to promote international cooperation in governance.By studying the overview of AIDS in Yunnan and AIDS international cooperation projects, including research on relevant policy planning, work reports, research papers and other materials; carry out field research, case studies and surveys through interviews, gather relevant information on AIDS international cooperation projects in Yunnan, conduct research and analysis. Summarize the achievements and experience of international cooperation prog rams for AIDS prevention Yunnan Province participated, and analyze the problems in the participation process. To solve these problems, combined with the advantages and prospects of international governance of AIDS, this paper proposes several strategies to promote international governance on Yunnan AIDS, in cluding improving the Yunnan Provincial health governance model, promoting corporate social responsibility and bringing the important role of NGOs into full play. And finally come to a conclusion: international cooperation governance on AIDS is bound to become the main mode of governance in the future, in order to better promote the development of international cooperation in management of AIDS in Yunnan Province, it requires government departments, community, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations to continuously improve their own management philosophy, coordinate relying on comprehensive legislation.
