Interventional Study Of Medical Social Work On Anxiety In Elderly Patients With Cardiovascular Disease

In recent years, cardiovascular disease as common diseases which easy to happen among the elderly population, its morbidity continues to rise. In the backgrounds of medical model innovation and medical needs of diversification, elderly patients with cardiovascular disease is not only faced with fundamental problems, such as physical illness, but also plagued by social and psychological factors which one of them is anxiety and it gradually attracts widespread attention. Medical social work committe to prevent and treat social factors in mental health and diseases of patients and their families, following highly specialized service values and skills to service for them,who is precisely to make up for limitations of the medical profession who mainly focused on physiological disease of patients. Medical social work helps patients get physical, psychological, social and other aspects of integrated services, to promote the comprehensive rehabilitation and construct the human environment in hospital. By analyzing the intervene anxiety in elderly cardiovascular disease cases patients,discussing the issue that medical social workers how to use casework skills to establish professional relationships with patients and collect information, how to use the system perspective diagnose anxiety problems and make case plans; how to ues rational emotive therapy and social support networks to start intervene, to solve the main anxiety issues and assessment the intervention process and outcome.This paper points that anxiety is a major psychological distress among elderly patients with cardiovascular disease,having negative impact with varying degrees on treatment and rehabilitation of patients, discussing the feasibility and necessity of medical social intervene in anxiety. The author’s basic point is: medical social work have good results in improving treatment of anxiety among in elderly cardiovascular disease patients, because the medical social worker focus on the goal that help people help themselves, they have medicine, psychology, sociology, multidisciplinary background knowledge, paying attention to a variety of psychological and social factors of anxiety and to develop targeted intervene plans, guiding patients to remove irrational belief, excavating social support, improving mood management skills,achieving rehabilitation and growth of illness and mental case,and social dimension.The author summarizes the intervention strategies,mainly including ward round,establish professional relationships, information collection and diagnosis,implementation of intervene, assess the results of the intervention process and results,which can prove to be a effective solution to anxiety patient.
