A Comparative Study Of The Treatment Of Cervical Vertigo And Conventional Acupoints

Objective:to observe the clinical efficacy of Renying point to the treatment of cervical vertigo, and for the use of guide and optimize the clinical trial,inquire the clinical research and mechanism of this treatment from both the traditional Chinese and western medicine theory.Methods:50 patients with cervical vertigo are in accordance with the inclusion criteria,were randomly divided into two groups by random number table method.In between,l case fall off,other 49 cases complete the treatment observation;25 cases in treatment group and control group of 24 cases.Treatment group used the anterior portion of Renying and combined with Baihui,Fengchi,Neiguan,Xuanzhong,Sanyinjiao and Taichong point.Renying points on the neck,next to the Adam’s apple,the front of sternocleidomastoid, carotid arterial pulses;When acupuncture will gently push the arteria carotis communis to the edges,insert the needle about 0.5~1 inch,twisting the needle until bring about the desired sensation and then mild twist the needle out;Control group treated with conventional acupuncture therapy.Three times treatment per week,total with 12 treatments,Both groups has recorded the degree of the dizziness, headache,neck shoulder pain,daily life and work,social adaptation ability in the sections of before treatment,treatment of the third,sixth,ninth and twelfth time.when symptoms disappeared,or the processes of treatment end,and will sum up into the statistical treatment.By using SPSS 17.0 software for the statistical analysis,observing the cervical vertigo clinical symptoms and functional improvement and instant effect,for comprehensive evaluation of clinical curative effect.Results:1.This study of 49 patients is predominantly female(76%),the male to female ratio of 1:3; The onset age mainly at the age of 50-75 years old;Description of CSA patients mainly middle-aged and old women,it may be related to women’s physiological characteristics.2.This study of 49 patients,content 63% of them are working at the table for more than 6 hours a day.From this point,closely associated with the onset of cervical spondylosis, strengthen the prevention health care has certain guiding significance.3.In the study of cervical vertigo clinical symptom is given priority to with vertigo performance(98%);Followed by the neck and shoulder pain(85.7%).The TCM syndrome is given priority to the obstruction of collaterals by blood stasis, followed by the yin deficiency and yang excess.Concomitant diseases is mainly insomnia and hypertension.4.In this study,Renying point and compare the conventional acupuncture for CSA patients,the clinical symptoms and functional improvements after treatment were better than before(P<0.05).ln terms of total points and improve the symptoms of dizziness,Renying point is superior to the conventional acupuncture,the difference was statistically significant(*P<0.05); But in other aspects,there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).5.For the treatment of aging evaluation,the two groups after three acupuncture sessions each integral are better than the before treatment,was statistically significant(**P<0.01,*P<0.05),and Renying point of integral improvement is more obvious,indicating that acupuncture therapy in patients with cervical vertigo the improvement of subjective symptoms and function,short-term treatment is effective, good curative effect and quickly.6.After treatment,Renying point group total effective rate of 100%,while traditional acupuncture group total effective rate was 79.2%,after statistics analysis,the treatment group curative effect is better than control group(**P<0.01).Conclusion:1.Renying point and conventional acupuncture therapy on cervical vertigo have curative effectClinical for cervical vertigo patients,mainly heavy dizziness performance, Renying point curative effect is better.2.Acupuncture therapy in patients with cervical vertigo shows subjectively improvement to the symptoms and function,efficacy treatment in three times of acupuncture treatment,and achieve the best curative effect in six times,and with low recurrence rate,indicating that Renying point has good curative effect,takes effect quickly and the long-term curative effect is also good.
