ObjectiveTo investigate the characteristic of the encoding and retrieving of the episodic memory (EM) in patients with mild cognition impairment (MCI), and to analysis the relationship between episodic memory changes and LRP gene polymorphism in patients with mild cognition impairment (MCI)MethodsAccording to MCI diagnostic criteria and exclusion criteria, a diagnosis of MCI patients (MCI group)132cases,178cases of normal control group. All the staff are using the mini mental state examination (MMSE), the clinical dementia rating scale (CDR), the Montreal cognitive test scale (MoCA) assessment of cognitive function, and give all the staff episodic memory encoding and retrieval process test, observe scores of episodic memory encoding and retrieval performance and reaction time.Restriction fragment length polymorphism detection method are used to test LRP gene766th nucleotide detection of MCI patients and normal controls’ C/T in exon3polymorphism, and analyse gene polymorphism distribution differences between two groups, as well as the two groups’ correlation between episodic memory encoding、extraction scores and gene polymorphism.Result1. General information male/female ratio of group MCI and group NC are,67/65,90/88, no significant difference (X2=0.35, P>0.05); age (years old) were (71±7),(70±8), no difference statistical significance (t=0.82, P>0.05); Education (years) were (7±4),(8±5), no significant difference (t=1.4, P>0.05).2. Encoding correct rate (score) of EM:group MCI(65±19) were lower than than group NC (73±17),the differences statistically significant (P<0.05); retrieval accuracy:group MCI(63±23) were lower than that of group NC (74±26), the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05); encoding reaction time (ms):group MCI (2836±594) were longer than that of group NC (2414±639), differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); retrieving reaction time (ms):group MCI (2730±439) were longer than that of group NC(2353±568), differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3. There was no significant difference of distribution of the CC、CT、TT genotype and allele C and T of LRP gene between group MCI and normal control group(P>0.05).4.There was no statistically significant between different allelic of LRP gen and encoding and extraction of EM scores in group MCI and normal control group(P>0.05). ConclusionThere are abnormal episodic memory encoding and retrieval function in patients with MCI.C/T gen polymorphism of LRP766th nucleotide exon3is not the significant risk factor for MCI patients, the gen polymorphism had no effect on encoding and extractionof episodic memory in normal persons and patients with MCI.
