Objective To study and analysis the relationship between BIN1 gene polymorphism in patients with mild cognition impairment(MCI)and the characteristic of the episodic memory(EM) in patients with mild cognition impairment(MCI).Methods According to MCI diagnostic criteria, a diagnosis of MCI patients(MCI group)119 cases,209 cases of normal control group. All the staff are registering health data and using the mini mental state examination(MMSE),six entries Scale(SIS),the clinical dementia ratingscale(CDR), assessment of cognitive function, and give all the staff episodic memory encoding and retrieval process test, observe scores of episodic memory encoding and retrieval performance and reaction time.Restriction fragment length polymorphismdetection method are used to test BIN1 gene polymorphism of MCI patients and normal controls, and analyse gene polymorphism distribution differences between twogroups,as well as the, correlation between episodic memory encoding and extraction scores、encoding and extraction time reaction and gene polymorphism.Result 1.General information male/female ratio of group MCI and group NC are,43/76,85/124,no significant difference(X2=0.65,P=0.42);age(years old) were(73±5),(72±5), no difference statistical significance(t=0.57,P>0.05);Education(years) were(6±1),(7±2), no significant difference(t=1.3,P>0.05).2.Encoding correctrate(score)of EM: group MCI(56.90±23.90) were lower than group NC(75.30±18.80),the differences statistically significant(P<0.05); retrieval accuracy:group MCI(53.40±19.22)were lower than that of group NC(72.00±21.40),the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05); encoding reaction time(ms):group MCI(2906±595)were longer than that of group NC(2284±552) differences were statistically significant(P<0.05); retrieving reaction time(ms):group MCI(3377±987) were longer than that of group NC(2300±489),differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.There was no significant difference of distribution of the CC、CT、TT genotype and allele C and T of BIN1 gene between group MCI and normal control group(P>0.05).4. There was no statistically significant between different allelic of BIN1 gene and encoding and extraction of EM scores、reaction time in group MCI and normal control group(P>0.05).Conclusion1. There are abnormal episodic memory encoding and retrieval function in pati ents with MCI.2. Gene polymorphism of BIN1 is not the significant risk factorfor MCI patients, the gene polymorphism had no effect on encoding and extraction of episodic memory in normal persons and patientswith MCI.
