By comparing with the conventional gear reducer, the pin-cycloid planetar reducer yields several advantages, such as high reduction ratioin compact space, greater load capacity, higher ratio of torque to weight, high efficiency and long life.They have been widely used in many industrial fields. The circle movable teeth planetary reducer is a new kind of pin-cycloid planetar reducer, which the cycloid teeth was replaced with the cylinder.This is simple to the gear's processing. Virtual prototyping,as a kind of brand—new products development approach,compares with traditional design method,it can not only revise and design conveniently through virtual prototype before making physics prototype actually,shorten products development period,lower costs,and can also improve the properties of product,strengthen the market competitiveness,accelerate the transformation from new technology to new products.It is very important meaning of using virtual prototyping to carry on the systematic design and performance emulation in circle movable teeth planetary reducer and seeking optimization design of the products.On the basis of theoretical research of circle movable tooth planetary drive and through Pro/E and ADAMS software,this paper have established virtualp rototype model of circle movable tooth reducer, realized virtual assembly, and completed the work of systematic emulation. Content of studying in this paper includes mainly in the following: (1) Based on gear engagement principle, it analyzed work principle, characteristic and transmission ratio of circle movable tooth drive, and introduce the substitution of internal ring gear shape in star gear planet transmission; (2) By using Pro/E, it established virtualp rototype model of circle movable tooth transmission and cycloid planet transmission, completed virtual design and assembly, and realized variable design. (3) The paper succeeded in finishing the conversion geometry model between Pro/E and ADAMS software.Then through having carried on dynamics imitate of circle movable teeth reducer and cycloid planet reducer prototype model, the paper probed into key load situation and sport characteristic that key part bear and analyzed different impacts on systematic dynamics performance of operating mode, which offered the important basis for system optimization,vibration,analysis of the life-span of noise in the future. (4) Compairing the test and analyses of circle movable tooth drive and cycloid planet drive which have same size and structure through dynamics imitating, superiorities and shortcomings on design,property and manufacturing of these two kinds of planet drive can be achieved,that would be useful to their theoretical research and optimization.
