| With the development of the times and the improvement of living standards, people's demand for their own health has undergone tremendous changes. The concept that health equals no medication and no injection is gradually being abandoned. This overturns the former mode of health improvement, which is simply rely on drug treatments and physical therapy. People have paid more attention to disease prevention and health maintainence. A good landscape which is mentally and physically adjustable and pressure-relieving now is the common aspirations of modern people. The American ecological landscape pioneer Ian Lennox McHarg had proposed the slogan"Design with Nature". Community needs ecology, and people need to respect the nature. It is confirmed by the theories of foreign natural benefit hypothesis that, the landscape can improve healthy conditions and has a positive significance on the restoration of physical and mental health. In recent years, the fast-paced life had led to large pressure from society, life and work. People stay in long period of the sub-health state and have higher requirements for humane environment. The author believes that, design should combine not only the nature but the knowledge in medical field to make full use of nature and it's therapeutic performance. Design is for the benefit of mankind, especially in health care institutions, where need more good landscapes to assist the therapy.Modern therapeutic landscape has gradually become a new landscape type, and played a very well role of adjuvant therapy in medical institutions. In western developed countries, research on this type of landscape has reach a further level, such as the professional development of horticultural therapy and the introduction of evidence-based medicine, which both have objectively promoted the progress of therapeutic landscape. In China, however, we are still at the elementary stage, for little systematic research is done on this type of landscape.Firstly, this article generally discusses the research status of modern therapeutic landscape design in and out of China, clarifies the significance and framework of this study. Subsequently, the author makes a comprehensive and holistic overview of therapeutic landscape, defines its concept and meaning, and describes the relationship between participants and therapeutic landscape, as well as the influence on health improvement of the participants from therapeutic landscape, from the perspective of environmental psychology therapy. Based on the study of participants'environmental perception and behavior, this article does the systematic study of modern therapeutic landscape design, analyzes its constituent elements, design principles and design methods. The author also analyzes "how does design integrate with health care" combining with the knowledge of medical field through a certain case. Then the principles of therapeutic landscape design is re-understood, which is also an extended thinking of therapeutic landscape design. Finally, this article prospects the outlook of therapeutic landscape and puts forward to several development proposals. There are several innovations in this article as follows:1. In China, the academic understanding of therapeutic landscape is currently very vague, for which the author re-defines the definition of therapeutic landscape and summarizes its category bases on foreign documentation.2. The scope of therapeutic landscape's research is not only limited in hospital environment, and specifically we propose the therapeutic landscape design principles for different disease types or groups mainly through the cognition of pathology.3. This article builds a framework for systematic research on therapeutic landscape system, and makes some attempt to combine traditional Chinese medicine theory with therapeutic landscape design. |
