With the vigorous development of modern tourism industry, and as people's demand for traveling continues to increase, the overall planning for the tourist regions is gaining moreand more attention. The tourism regions, as the "name cards" of a city, play an important role in promoting the development of the city. To combine tourism and landscape planning and create tourist sites that make people reluctant to leave by considering culture, ecology andthe nature, is the inevitable trend of modern tourist attractions development. This article mainly studies landscape planning for the traditional cultural attractions. In particular, by taking the Mancheng Han Tomb tourist area as the research object, it re-examines landscape planning for this type of tourist attractions.This article is divided into five sections:The first section is an introduction, focuses on the background, purpose, meaning, thedevelopment status, methodology and guiding ideology of traditional cultural attractions landscape planning studies.The second section describes the basic concepts involved in this article, as well as the applications of the professional theories. Meanwhile, resource assessment and main points ofplanning for the traditional cultural attractions are analyzed.The third section provides a general overview of Mancheng County, and a detailed analysis of the current status of the Mancheng Han Tomb attraction sites. In addition, we analyze the existence and utilization of resources, point out the problems and propose some important points need to be noticed for reconstruction planning.The fourth section is the main part of this article, which proposes recommendations forthe reconstruction planning of the Mancheng Han Tomb scenic area, gives a detailed description of the planning objectives, planning principles and planning orientation, and conducts specific studies in terms of the scope, functional partitions, landscape structure, landscape elements etc.As a conclusion, section five studies the modern development and exploitation of traditional cultural tourist areas by using landscape planning, landscape resources assessment, tourism planning and other related theories. Moreover, based on the actual situation, we consider the "nature, culture, and people" as the three factors in planning such type of scenic regions, in order to realize the cultural, economic and social values, and build a harmonious environment for tourist attractions.
