The Typology Application Research On Innovation And Development Of Rural Settlements In Western Henan

How traditional rural settlements maintain the quality of tradition in the energy of the global urbanism has become one of the arguments which were unable to cast in China's contemporary architectural profession.With the high-speed development of modernization and process of urban-rural integration, rural settlements will inevitably enter a unprecedented period of change which has been a development from a qualitative change to transmutation. The old morphologies of all levels in rural settlements have broken up gradually. And the reconstructed morphology after the qualitative change which reflects the dual nature is a contradiction, reasonable and unreasonable, progressive and full of the crisis which can be seen everywhere at the same time。From the actual phenomenon that is not to be hard to see, the construction and development of all rural families which is unrestrained randomly and lower income is not a simple technical problem, but a huge social problem, which is the practical problems confronting us. How to face it needs to be resolved for us!The paper which regards Western Henan as the subject investigated.aims at the theoretical study of typology to analyze the history and present condition of rural settlements in Western Henan and extracts archetypes of rural settlements in Western Henan. by typology methodology as support, and weighs out an appropriate way among the many factors to apply to the innovation and development of the rural settlements in Western Henan.This paper discussed briefly the research activities of the object and method, selected the prime target of this study-the innovation and development of rural settlements in Western Henan, and quoted the typology and its methods studied the application of objects, and pointed out the significance of the theory on the present study, while providing the innovative point of this study.The first part is theoretical research.the paper illustrated and paraphrased rural settlements in Western Henan at all levels, which offered the elements of analysis for the latter part of application study by means of architecture typology and its thinking pattern。And then the component of application study, applied means of classification of typology, and extracts archetypes of the subject investigated, and explored the methods of its type conversions from the environment, spatial pattern, architectural style, technology, etc. Finally for the development of rural settlements in Western Henan the paper put forward the model of the ideal village, and designed a set of villages as example for the development of the western Henan's village,and summed up and exploited a new planning of rural village in western Henan, from which to seek the practical and effective ways of construction of the living environment in modern country of western Henan, with a view to help the new rural construction of western Henan.
