Many earthquaes happen in Japan as well as in China every year. After a series of disasters,Japan gets great ability of handling earthquake emergency,and become a leader of earthquake resistance and disaster prevention in the world. Anti-seismic experiences in Japan, about technology or management, is worth our country using for reference.Elementary and secondary schools in Japan, as a kind of emergency shelters, have corresponding measures from planning design to architectural design, from earthquake resistance performance to earthquake resistance reinforcement, from disaster prevention education to disaster prevention drilling. This dissertation summaries the anti-Seismic Experiences of elementary and secondary School Buildings in Japan, and introduces specifically the design experiences, the appraisal experiences as well as the construction resistance performance enhancement experiences.Base on the summarization of anti-Seismic Experiences of elementary and secondary School Buildings in Japan, reconsiders earthquake resistance and disaster prevention measures as well as emergency shelter and school design in our country. Considering China and Japan's differences, summarizes the apocalypto from Japan. Through investigating schools'present situation, get the feasibility judgment about elementary and secondary schools as emergency shelter in our country. Base on analysing China and Japan's differences, make specifically suggestions about how to consult from experiences in Japan.The first chapter of this dissertation asks question, and mainly introduces the bakeground of the issue of school building's earthquake resistance and disaster prevention, and explains some concepts in this dissertation, like emergency shelter and earthquake resistance and disaster prevention.The second part consists of chapterII,chapterIII,Chapter IV, Chapter V and Chapter VI, which analyse question. The second chapter summarizes earthquake disaster happened in Japan as well as its earthquake resistance and disaster prevention measures; the third chapter introduces earthquake resistance and disaster prevention measures, including measures before earthquake disaster, in disaster and after disaster, and explains with an example; the fourth, fifth, sixth chapters are the main contents of this dissertation, dissertates design experiences, evaluation experiences and the construction resistance performance enhancement experiences respectively and particularlyThe seventh chapter solves the problem. Base on analysing Chinese present situation and the differences between China and Japan, summarizes the apocalypto from Japan's design experiences, evaluation experiences and the construction resistance performance enhancement experiences, at the same time, make specifically suggestions about how to consult from experiences in Japan. An example will given at the end of this dissertation, and try to expain the way how to use a school as an emergency shelter.The conclusion part summaries the results of the study, and makes a development and the forecast to this research direction .
